How do you use social media?

If you ask me - social media brings people together globally but real life human connection matters more!

I discovered Instagram in 2015 after a lot of tourists mentioned it, so I was curious. Was was this platform about and why was everyone so obsessed, suggesting me to join ?? So in 2015 I started posting the things I learned from interactions with tourists in my tours.

I posted more than 30 stories about cultural differences, unusual tour moments and inspiring life stories. Then Instagram turned into a business and networking platform, so I decided to promote my tours in a different way: reels about my lifestyle in tourism and history knowledge about Zagreb. And it works! People find me on Instagram, on TikTok or Linkedin and contact me directly as a tour guide.

The custom made tours always include a few must-see locations in Zagreb, guest’s preferences and quite a few great spots that you certainly wouldn’t find on your own if you haven’t done a research or walked around for a while.
Sometimes it is a group and sometimes an individual. Whether it is an American couple planning to move to Zagreb, a 21-year-old IT guy, locals who want to learn more about their city, another tourist agency having a big group of VIP guests, or a company organizing an official tour for conference participants in Zagreb - these tours are always professional and fun.

While scrolling, I find funny reels, sad life stories, incredibly questionable and disturbing videos, but at some point - I get to all the incredibly useful content. I find people whose knowledge, wisdom or lifestyle inspire me. So I want to be one of them - creating content that is meaningful, educational and authentic. Because it can show how big and amazing this world is. Or at least, that is what I choose to think. My experience in tourism proves it!
